The Black Hills chapter was pleased to have several youth handlers test with us in 2020.
We look forward to encouraging more youth to get involved with NAVHDA. We plan to devote a portion of every training day to youth training.

18 dogs ran in the Black Hills Chapter's inaugural hunt tests August 10 & 11, 2019 at Pheasants on Kara Creek near Sundance, Wyoming.
16 dogs earned a prize. The judges attributed the high percentage of successful dogs to good dogs and the outstanding condition of the grounds.
No one went hungry. Members generously donated homemade dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks!
The views in every direction were spectacular. The hunting field in the creek bottom allowed spectators to clearly see the testing.
The youth who attended had a blast helping out on the ATV. Before we know it, they'll be handlers!
Volunteers gave hours of their time to plan and prepare food, plant birds, set up shade shelters, and do all the many things that must be done to make a test successful.
We are proud to be one of the newest chapters granted a charter by NAVHDA International in 2019 and look forward to serving the training and testing needs of versatile hunting dog owners in our area.
Our chapter will be training and testing primarily at Pheasants on Kara Creek, a beautiful preserve located near Sundance, Wyoming. This exceptional game preserve boasts about 800 acres of ground, two lodges, and a crystal clear 8-acre lake. The Black Hills chapter is truly fortunate to have access to these beautiful grounds.
